Home Schooling & Activities

Schools across the UK have closed to the majority of pupils for the foreseeable future due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Many schools have sent work home and there are lots of online resources available too. But where do you start? We have some expert advice from a local Teaching Assistant who will share tips on how to be a part time teacher!

Home schooling should not just be about sitting down with an exercise book or sat on line following videos and interactive apps. There's so much more we can be doing with our kids to pass the time along and also teach them without them even realising!

If you work better by following a daily timetable for routine or if you’re stuck for ideas at certain times of the day here’s what various celebrities are offering you and the kids for FREE:

9.00am - PE with Joe Wicks

10.00am - Maths with Carol Vorderman

11.00am - English with David Walliams

12.00pm - Lunch (cooking with Jamie Oliver)

1.00pm - Music with Myleene Klass

2.00pm - History with Dan Snow (free for 30-days)

4.00pm - Home Economics with Theo Michaels (Mon/Wed/Fri)

Local Groups

Local groups and organisations are also getting involved with videos, challenges and guides on what we can be doing to make learning fun.

We're proud to be working with Cheryl from My Baby Can Dance Leeds and Emma from IzWiz Robotics. See their pages to see what they're doing!
