21st April 2021
We are delighted to announce that Billy Pearce has accepted our invitation to become our very first Patron.
Local comedian and King of Panto Billy Pearce has accepted our invitation to become our very first Patron. Billy has spent time with us recording a special message for people in our community in March last year and more recently announced the winners from our Best Of WF3 Awards in January.
Asked about his decision to join the charity, Billy said, ‘I feel really proud to be asked and I look forward to supporting WF3 Kindness and the great work that the charity continue to do in our community’
Reflecting on how coronavirus has affected the local area and the people that live here Billy said, ‘We are all used to interacting with each other and this last year has proven to be so difficult with many of us having to stay indoors and not see friends or family. The kind and thoughtful work and friendship that WF3 Kindness bring makes people feel that they are part of a caring community… which obviously they are! It’s great neighbourliness’
‘I want to add my personal thanks to each and everyone involved with WF3 Kindness. It’s a very hard world sometimes, but the selflessness on display restores my faith in humanity. Thanks love’s!’
WF3 Kindness continues to support people living in Tingley, Ardsley and Thorpe with emergency food parcels, mental health support, kindness packages and community activities. Founder of WF3 Kindness Dan Frank said ‘We are so grateful to Billy for his support of WF3 Kindness over the last 13 months and we’re excited to be working with him in the future.’ Dan went on to say ‘we continue to help people when they need it and are always looking at things we can do in the community to improve the area for everyone and with the support of lots of people including Billy we can achieve great things’.
We look forward to working with Billy in the future.
