Daddy Day Care ends in the Pub!

Tuesday is a none working day for me - It's a Daddy Day - I've not worked Tuesdays since Oliver was born, it's great because it makes sure we both just spend that quality time together, usually Sarah is at work so we get away with wrestling and playing rugby in the lounge but this week was different. We had to adhere to the house rules- we did some cutting and sticking in the morning and then played in the garden for the whole afternoon, we tidied the garage, had a small fire, ordered some plants and play sand for the sand pit from Springfield Nursery which was delivered and then had a water fight... hosepipes and everything. A different 'Daddy Day' but it was lovely to hear Oliver say whilst taking him to bed 'I've had a lovely fun day Daddy, can we do it again tomorrow' - I told him we have a fair few of them left and not to worry!!

I finished my day in a virtual pub! Me and a few of my friends set up the Zoom call and all sat in our own homes with a beer and some crisps and had a chat as we would if we had gone out. It was great and just somehow makes you go to bed feeling a bit better about things after having a chat with those who know you better than most!
