Mothers Day Mums continue with Mission Delivery
Updated: Mar 27
We continued to deliver leaflets with around 25 volunteers posting to areas local to them or in areas that we had identified as housing those in the elderly or vulnerable category.
It was Mother’s Day and many Mums took to the streets, including mine, to make sure we got as many out before the end of the weekend. A big thank you to those Mums who spent their annual day, out in the community offering help to those that may need it.
Happy Mothers Day to my Mum who passed away 29 years ago, Mothers Day is always tough for me but it's also a time we should recognise not just our birth mothers but those who have had an impact on our lives. For me, my 'step-mum' Jackie (I hate that word), is amazing and deserves so much credit for what she's done for me. for the last 28 years - she's laughed with me, cried with me, dried my tears, picked me up when I fell and held me up when I felt weak -she's the best! She's also an amazing Grandma to Oliver, she puts her whole family before herself and we'd be lost without her! I often say to people A little lad needs his Mum, but he also needs a best friend -well you know what, I got both of those when My Dad married Jackie! Happy Mothers Day Jackie - I love you...
And so does Oliver, he's missing you so much during these tough times, but it will all return to normal eventually and we'll have a lot of catching up to do!
